Cocke County, TN – On January 26, 2025, deputies from the Cocke County Sheriff’s Office conducted an arrest resulting in drug charges for two individuals.
According to a press release from the Cocke County Sheriff’s Office, the arrest occurred in the early morning hours. Ashley Caldwell, 37, was taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including possession of Schedule I and Schedule II controlled substances, as well as violation of probation.
Schedule I controlled substances, such as heroin, are classified in Tennessee as drugs with a high potential for abuse and no accepted medical use. Schedule II controlled substances, like methamphetamine, also carry a high potential for abuse but may have limited medical applications. Violation of probation indicates that Caldwell was already serving a probationary sentence from a prior conviction.
Second Arrestee
During the same operation, Robbie Williams of Bybee, Tennessee, was also arrested. Bybee is an unincorporated community in the northern region of Cocke County, close to the Hamblen County border. Williams was taken into custody on charges originating from Hamblen County and transported to the Hamblen County Jail to face these charges.
